South African ‘DUBS’ tank returning to UK

The NBL Preservation Group, a preservation project involving many items of rolling stock built by the North British Locomotive Company in Glasgow many years ago, through fundraising have successfully purchased a ‘Dubs’ ‘A’ Class 4-8-2 tank locomotive from South Africa.

Arrival at Portbury Docks (Bristol) was on the 12th May 2011 following its voyage from South Africa by boat and Moveright International were contracted to transport the locomotive from Bristol to its new home on the Mizens Railway near Woking in Surrey.
