The Streetlife museum in Hull’s ‘Old Town’ contracted Moveright International to swap two exhibits over; a Fish Van (an apt piece of history for this fishing town) was being swapped with a ‘fireless’ locomotive from the National Railway Museum.
The locomotive arrives at the museum on the low loader and is winched onto the transportation frame.
The Fish Van in the ‘station’ inside the museum waiting to be moved out and back to York.
The Fish Van slowly making its way out of the museum and towards the road trailer.
Finally, the locomotive is skated, turned and lowered into the position now vacated by the Fish Van.
The loco is then slowly winched (on the frame, sitting on skates) into the museum.
The Fish Van on the skate/from arrangement and being slowly winched round and out of the museum.
The Fish Van now loaded onto the road trailer for returning to the National Railway Museum in York.
The ‘fireless’ locomotive finally in position in the ‘station’ inside the Streetlife museum.
